Julian Marchese

Mr. Marchese is the CEO & Portfolio Manager of Marchese Investments. Born in 1996, he has participated in the leadership and growth of a new generation of asset management. Developing his first quantitative trading system at the age of 14, Mr. Marchese has recognized the preeminence and dominance of quantitative systems trading, and the statistical advantages of alternative beta strategies. Mr. Marchese founded Marchese Investments in 2014 to capitalize on these strategies by generating consistent risk-adjusted returns for MI investors. He is a contributor to CNBC, BloombergTV, & Fox Business. He has also been named one of the most powerful people in finance by Business Insider.

Chris Kohler is a Principal and Senior Investment Consultant in Mercer’s investment consulting practice, and has spent his career focused exclusively on endowments and foundations as well as alternative investments. Having advised endowments and foundations with assets ranging from $50 million to $2 billion, Chris is well-versed in alternative investments and seasoned in guiding investment committees through investment policy development, implementation, manager selection, and responsible investing decisions. In 2014, Chris joined Mercer from a large hedge fund of funds, where he was a product specialist and frequently met with investment committees and investment consultants. Chris received a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Pennsylvania State University.


David Goldstein has over 19 years of experience in fund structures, jurisdictions, regulations, service models, and strategies. Prior to joining Conifer as Director – Business Development in March of 2013, David worked for seven years in the fund administration unit at HSBC Securities Services, first as an Assistant Vice President of Sales and later as a Vice President overseeing client relationships and fund solutions. Prior to HSBC, David spent 9 years in senior sales and relationship management roles for fund administrator Trident Trust. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI.


Greg Farrington is a Partner at Constellation Advisers, LLC, where he oversees the firm’s due diligence, operations, regulatory and compliance and consulting service lines. He coordinates relationships with executive management across Constellation’s client base with a focus on traditional and alternative investment managers and their institutional allocators. Before joining Constellation in 2009, Mr. Farrington worked for over 10 years at a “Big Four” accounting firm specializing in financial services with a particular focus on investment managers and advisers, banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, endowments, and foundations, among other financial institutions. Over the course of his career, Mr. Farrington has developed expertise in assisting clients with strategy, regulatory and compliance concerns, operational risk management, accounting, operations, internal controls, business process, technology, valuations, due diligence, and financial analysis. He received his Bachelor’s degree with a Double Major in Finance and Economics from the University of Western Ontario.


John Netto is a professional trader and published author, writing “The Global Macro Edge: Maximizing Return Per Unit-of-Risk” (2016) as well as “One Shot – One Kill Trading” (2004). He is the creator of the Netto Number, an alternative and proprietary ratio that measures how well a market, strategy, or portfolio is maximizing return per unit-of-risk. John has appeared on a variety of financial news channels, including Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and Fox Business. He has also been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider and Dow-Jones Newswire.
